We went out on the town at night to patrol and such. Great fun. I'll have some pictures to post eventually.
Some of the things we did at the school:
Walking our horses through fire, flares, blank round from guns, over jumps, through smoke. Didn't take long for the horses to get settled into it.
The first day I was there, I was on some crazy horse. It wouldn't let me on her, when I did try to get on, she bucked me off. It was horrible. The stupid horse broke my freaking bridle!!
Anyway, the second day I got this little two year old. He was awesome. Little inexperienced, so I took him off to the side the first day and just created a bond with him. Six hours in the saddle later, I had him doing side-passing like a pro. A couple days later (six hours in the saddle every day), him and I were one of six horse/rider teams to make it to the advanced class. If I had to do it all over again, I'd call the owner of that horse and ask to take him through again. He was wonderful. Anyway, enough about this. I need to get back to homework. Like I said, I'll have some pictures of down there, up before too long.
Peace,
Jonathan
